Alcantara® is an Italian-engineered microfibre material, developed and woven in Italy to a standard the automotive world treats as the benchmark. The Case has an Alcantara® shell on the camera side and a protective frame around the cover screen. The Folio has an Alcantara® shell on the camera side and a flap with a card slot that closes over the cover screen. The Slim is an Alcantara® shell that protects the back and the hinge, and leaves the cover screen open.
No. The Case is made of two pieces and leaves the hinge free, so iPhone Duo opens, folds and closes exactly as it should.
The Alcantara® shell clicks onto the camera side, without adhesive. The frame around the cover screen attaches with a pre-applied adhesive layer: install it once and avoid taking it off often, as the adhesive loses strength each time.
The frame around the cover screen is black TPU (woven aramid fibre in the first batch). Every Case buyer gets a free front frame in the colour of their Alcantara®. We send it to you as soon as it is ready, expected in January.
Yes. Built-in magnets work with MagSafe chargers, car mounts and grips. The MagSafe Wallet does not fit iPhone Duo: it is too large for the camera side.
No. The front frame sits over the edge of the cover screen to keep the case stable, so there is no room for a screen protector. The front frame in the colour of your Alcantara® also covers the edge of the cover screen, so we cannot promise that a screen protector fits with it either. Cases from the first batch with the woven aramid fibre front frame only fit a fully clear protector without a black border, up to 0.33 mm thick.
Yes, with your name, initials or a logo on the Alcantara®. The front frame cannot be personalised. Personalised cases are made as a separate order: email personalization@alcanside.com first, and once your design is confirmed we send you a payment link.
A raised edge around the camera and around the cover screen protects against tables and hard surfaces.
